Address: 61 Dreamlake Drive, Madison, CT, 06443, United States

Abstract:

A group of statisticians and programmers, including the original developers of BUGS, have been working to establish a version of the WinBUGS software to be freely distributed under open source license. Future development of the BUGS software will be based on this OpenBUGS version of the program. The program is now available for down load at the website www.openbugs.info. The poster will describe recent efforts including: a public version-controlled repository, testing and other validation efforts planned with each updated release, coordination with new versions of supporting software such as BRugs, the availability of OpenBUGS as a native Linux (Intel architecture) program, testing of OpenBUGS under WINE for the Macintosh, new features and differences with WinBUGS 1.4.3, and plans for future development.
