Abstract:

We consider recurrent events in the situations where two time scales, age and usage, are involved, and the data collection is subject to informative censoring. We model jointly the event and usage processes in age, and present an estimation procedure with the primary data supplemented by some survey information. A set of car warranty claims with additional mileage trace information is used for illustration throughout the talk.
