Abstract:

Gerontologic Research Algorithms & Statistical Programs (GRASP: http://grasp.med.yale.edu) is a web-based repository of biostatistical content of interest to biostatisticians, epidemiologists and clinical researchers engaged in gerontological research. GRASP provides sample programs, data structures, articles and links to resources, such as the Geriatric Research Instrument Library (GRIL). Examples include controlling the overall error rate in multiple outcomes studies, methods for missing data including impacts of ignoring 'missingness' and imputation strategies for repeated measures, temporal-spatial models, state transition models and floor and ceiling effects. Extensive genetic resources for teaching and analysis are included. Combined with GRIL, an online repository of data collection instruments in geriatrics research, users have a wealth of tools for gerontologic research.
