What training do statisticians need to be successful in industry? In what areas do academic programs do well at the undergraduate or masters level? Where are the gaps? This will be an open discussion by participants from industry, moderated by members of the ASA Committee on Applied Statisticians and/or the ASA 2010 Education Workgroup, to elicit specific needs and recommendations of statisticians in industry.
