Abstract:

Recurrent non-fatal events can increase the hazard for subsequent mortality in patients in clinical trials. To investigate the impact of non-fatal events, Cox regression with time dependent covariates and hazard ratios will be applied to model the effects. The analysis will be performed using a case study and results from model fitting will be discussed.
