Title: How to Analyze Ordinal Categorical Data: Some Simulation Results
Author(s): George Zhang*+

Address: 399 Thornall St, Edison, NJ, 08837,
Keywords: categorical data ; CMH test ; ANCOVA
Abstract:

How to analyze ordinal categorical data has been a subject of debating, especially, when the number of categories is larger (>=5) and there are multiple important covariates and factors. This is mainly because the traditional CMH test only allow to include one factor and different methods (CMH test, ANCOVA, and Gary's method) will yield different statistical conclusions. The simulation results in this presentation provide useful knowledge on how to choose robust model from some most commonly used models.
