Abstract:

Computer experiments involve the use of simulations rather than a physical experiment to study the relation between a response and several explanatory variables. This roundtable will begin with an introduction and overview of computer experiments. I will briefly discuss applications, modeling, design, optimization, calibration, validation, and factor screening. I will also mention software that is available for the design and analysis of computer experiments. After the overview, I will then allow participants to indicate which topics they would like to discuss more thoroughly.
This roundtable should be accessible to those with little background in computer experiments as well as those with some experience.
