Abstract:

Graphics greatly enhance clinical trial reports and can replace tedious tables, allowing non-statisticians to have a better understanding of results and to better see patterns in the data. This is especially true for presenting safety data. This talk will cover some useful graphics for clinical trials in general, and will exemplify graphics that are especially useful for data and safety monitoring reports. An example of the use of micrographics inside tables will be presented, as will a new graphic for displaying adverse event incidences by treatment. Advantages of combining R and LaTeX for clinical trial reports will be given.
