Abstract:

In biopharmaceutical research and development we encounter questions and data that require non-standard statistical methods relative to the norm for the field. The session's panel members will discuss their experiences and perspectives as scientists and statisticians when applying more recently developed statistical applications. Key points include the need for additional dialogue, further understanding of the questions of interest for all stakeholders, and added clarity regarding purpose of the analyses when more advanced/less utilized methods are employed. The fruits of these extra efforts often mean insights which otherwise would go unknown.
