Abstract:

When predictors are nodes of a network specifying dependency structures among predictors, the network information needs to be incorporated in regression and classification. This is the case in identifying a subnetwork of disease genes from a network of predictors. In this talk, we will discuss efficient ways of grouping pursuit and feature selection subject to network constraints, especially in high-dimensional situations. Some numerical examples will be given, in addition to some theory.
