Abstract:

DNA copy number is the number of copies of DNA at a region of a genome. A lot of complex diseases involve alterations in DNA copy number, such as cancer progression. Many statistical methods have been proposed and applied in analysis of detecting chromosome copy number variations. However, few have studied the theoretical properties of those methods or used potentially important theory to improve the methods. In this talk, we proposed a two-step method and investigated its asymptotic properties. Simulations examples and real data analysis are investigated.
