Abstract:

This paper will describe the POINT system, which uses paradata (Blaise audit trail data) to measure the quality of interviewing work. By analyzing audit trail data for the content portion of a collection instrument, irregular interviewing practices (including, in some instances, interviewer falsification) are identified. Through its reports, POINT provides collection managers and interviewers with timely and meaningful feedback on interviewing practices.
