Abstract:

The University of Kentucky is undergoing a substantive reform of its general education program. As part of this reform, the University Senate has asked that a course on statistical inferential reasoning be a part of this new curriculum, with the expectation that faculty from a variety of disciplines would create and teach their own version of such a course. To that end, a diverse curriculum team was appointed and charged with developing a general course template. In this talk we will discuss what ultimately happened.
