Abstract:
|
The Federal Reserve Board collects information on two measures of credit card interest rates to assess the current conditions of the credit card market. Due to concerns of respondent burden, a small sample (50 banks) is authorized to be selected from a large population. This study includes selection of a stratification variable and sample banks with constraints to the limited size. In addition, several procedures for stratifying a population are compared under the scenario of a larger sample size. Issues and challenges relating to the sample design and implementation will also be discussed.
