Abstract:

Interactive computer demonstrations are a great aid to statistical instruction. Instructors usually rely on existing tools and applets because making their own demonstrations requires mastery of a low-level computer language (e.g., C++, Java, HTML) and networking. An alternative is a high-level script language, which is more accessible. JMP(r) includes a scripting language that can be used to make demonstrations. It includes graphics and matrix elements as well as access to all built-in objects to facilitate demonstrations.
