Abstract:

The estimations of parameters in generalized exponential distribution based on a progressively type-I interval censored sample is studied. The maximum likelihood estimation, the moment of method and estimate based on probability plot are developed. Through intensive computer simulation, these methods are compared in terms of mean squared errors and biases, respectively. Finally, these methods are applied to an example for illustration.
