Abstract:

The test of whether survival data follow a long-term survivor model or a two component mixture model can be made out using the likelihood ratio test and score test. The sample size and the asymptotic power of the tests are calculated under the generalized type I censoring. An example of a Weibull mixture is given. It is applied to data of time to remission of bipolar disease.
