Abstract:
|
In some sense, the web can be thought of as a large database-with search engines offering the ability to ask questions and receive results. With more and more accuracy highly complex algorithms are able to glean context from users' requests, examine terabytes of raw data and present a sequence of results ordered by relevancy. The results may not be perfect, but they are nearly always useful. Similarly, a traditional data set can be "searched" for interesting patterns and relationships with results ordered by some measure of priority. This talk will discuss a system that performs automatic analysis of nearly any data where the results are ordered by relevancy and assembled into a web-based presentation.
