Abstract:
|
In marketing applicability studies on RFID technology, the greatest emphasis was placed on providing RFID devices for customers or their carts, and analyzing customer routes within the store by tracing their movements and determining their behavior. Tracing customers' movements within a store makes it possible to have a better understanding of what and why customers make purchases than is the case when simply noting the product purchases, as was the case with previous marketing studies. This purpose of this study is to propose a knowledge-discovery system that can abstract helpful information from character strings representing shopper visits to product sections associated with positive and negative purchasing events by applying character string parsing technologies to stream data describing customer purchasing behavior inside a store.
