Abstract:

The research in the area of gene expression analysis has been tremendously enhanced by the use of the DNA microarray technology which allows researchers to monitor the expressions of thousands of genes under different conditions. Since microarray experiments are multi-step procedures, therefore, each step is a potential source of variance. The detection of differential gene expression variance under two different conditions is very important in microarray studies. In this article, we develop a statistical procedure based to detect the variability in the gene expression data using pair wise comparisons.
