Abstract:

The c-characteristic function, which is in a special form of the generalized Stieltjes transformation, have been shown to be a useful alternative tool for cases that the traditional characteristics function is hard or too complicate to use. Motivation and its properties will be given first. We then apply these properties to give some new interesting results on random moments of Ferguson-Dirichlet process.
