Abstract:

There are two major airports within public transit distance from my home, San Francisco International Airport and Oakland International Airport. How do arrival and departure delays compare at these two airports? Have these relationships changed over the last 22 years? Should I prefer one airport over the other for avoiding delays? These and other questions are answered using exploratory and graphical tools.
