Abstract:
|
The study of dynamic correlation between multiple spatial-correlated functional responses will enhance the understanding of co-evolving variables. To the best of our knowledge, the existing procedures for bivariate spatial association applies to static maps only. On the other hand, modeling bivariate functional association assumes independent functionals. In functional spatial correlation, we investigate a semiparametric method to estimate bivariate functional correlation between spatial correlated responses. Using the methodology in this paper, we investigate spatial and temporal associations between ethnic diversity and segregation throughout the US at low resolution level.
