Abstract:
|
Increasing computing and storage capacity of computers creates the need for thorough statistical analysis of large databases including very large amount of data of uneven quality. In our research we construct a Graphical User Interface that will randomly draw samples of a given size from the Data Expo 2009 airline database. These samples will then be stored to check for consistencies in trends or effects across all the different samples. This will create the ability for us to track the trends and draw conclusions on effects seen throughout all samples. Since we have the entire population of airline data we can then compare to see if these trends apply to the entire population.
