Abstract:

Covariate-selection has drawn attentions lately along with the growing application of propensity score methods in different areas. Special consideration on random covariates independent of either outcome or treatment assignment is the focus of investigation. In a real-world Drug Eluting Stent Registry study, we examine the effect of adding this random effect covariate on the propensity score modeling. The treatment effect will be evaluated with or without this random covariate.
