Abstract:

To date, most proposed methods for causal inference within principal strata (Frangakis and Rubin, Biometrics 2002) rely on strong prior assumptions and/or large-sample theory. In this talk we will discuss methods for inference within principal strata that require minimal assumptions and can be applied in small sample size settings. While this work is motivated by analysis of vaccine effects on post-infection endpoints, the methods are sufficiently general to have application in other areas where principal stratification is employed.
