Abstract:

We consider a new nonparametric (rank-based) version of Wilks' Lambda test in balanced and unbalanced multivariate one-way designs and derive asymptotic results under two different asymptotic settings: Large sample size (n), or large number of samples (a). We also investigate small-sample approximations and compare the performance with permutation tests and with other recently proposed nonparametric multivariate tests. An example illustrates the application.
