Abstract:

The introductory statistics course continues to evolve at many institutions. Recent advances in what we teach, how we teach, and how we assess have positively impacted the introductory course. This roundtable discussion will be centered around a proposed resequencing of topics which allows students to witness the sequence of data collection - descriptive summaries - sampling distributions - and statistical inference repeatedly throughout the semester.
