Abstract:

Over the past decades, statisticians have publicly weighed in on many of the important issues of the day, from the Civil War to the Great Depression to global warming. In this poster, we draw from documents in the ASA archive to demonstrate the positions, opinions and insights of former ASA members on the controversies of their day.
