Abstract:

This talk is selected from a prepared half-day workshop for high school counselors, teachers and administrators to help them better use and interpret the wealth of information in the statistical reports school officials encounter in their daily work with students, parents and the community. The goals are to help counselors, teachers and administrators better understand and interpret summary statistics, use that information for advising and prepare documents which include accurate and useful data summaries. This may also be used as a lesson example with students in AP Statistics classes.
