Abstract:

Meta-Analysis can be used to summarize the study-level results from multiple studies. The fixed- and random-effect models in meta-analyses are frequently applied to the drug-eluting stent data. These models can be fitted for many extracted study-level statistics including hazard ratios. However, survival curves with different follow-up schedules may not be addressed properly in this conventional way. Here the study-level contrasted with the patient-level statistics in terms of hazard ratios and Kaplan-Meier estimates from survival curves will be explored.
