Abstract:

Let F0 be a given distribution and F be the underline distribution over the same finite sample space. In this article, methods are proposed to test whether F is stochastically smaller than F0. One- and two-stage designs are proposed. The properties of the power function are studied. The determination of sample size and critical values are addressed. Our study is motivated by clinical trials with multinomial responses as endpoints.
