Abstract:
|
This study used person-center research to examine how various factors shape surgical outcomes to better health measures in patients with knee replacements. Using data from a large clinical center in the US, we were able to employ latent class analysis to classify homogeneous subgroups of patients based on their medical history, behaviors and health status after knee replacement surgery. Significant relationships were identified between latent classes and various factors. Implications for better treatment outcomes from knee replacement surgery were discussed.
