Abstract:

In this talk we discuss the existence of the maximum likelihood estimator for Gaussian graphical models. Concerning this, we define an invariant graph parameter, discuss its properties, and compare it with some other graph parameters in the literature. In the end, for some graphs we compute the numeric value of this parameter.
