Abstract:

In the present investigation, we consider the problem of estimation of population total using the well known Rao, Hartley and Cochran (1962), say the RHC scheme, in the presence of dubious random non-response. The proposed estimator has been compared with the usual estimator of the population total in the presence of random non-response. A new idea of "Dubious Random Non-response (DRN)" through transformations on the response probabilities has been introduced and studied.
