Abstract:

Interval-censored failure time data often occur in follow-up studies where subjects can only be followed periodically and the failure time can only be known to lie in an interval. We consider the problem of comparing two interval-censored samples. We generalize the Wilcoxon rank method by giving ranks to the interval-censored data. Simulation study shows that our proposed test is more powerful than the two tests proposed by Mantel (1967) and Peto (1972).
