Abstract:

Teaching large sections of introductory statistics is challenging. And getting students to participate in active learning rather than passive is an even bigger challenge. So how do we design and implement activities in large classroom settings? How do we assess conceptual learning? How do we get active participation from students who have the attitude of "Feed me, I'm yours"? Let's get together and discuss our challenges, our failures and our successes in teaching in this environment.
