Address: 900 Ridgebury Rd, Ridgefield, CT, 06877,
Keywords: drug resistance ; HIV
Abstract:

In the course of development of antiretroviral therapies appropriate data must be collected and analyzed to characterize the new candidate therapy with respect to cross-resistance with existing therapies, the relationship between genotype and phenotypic resistance, the relationship between genotype and response, the relationship between genotype and sustained response, and the characteristics of the virus that emerges after failure of a regimen that includes the new candidate therapy. A survey of methods of framing these questions, capturing relevant data, and performing analyses will be discussed.
