Abstract:

A software program for the performance of multiple comparisons for the Weibull shape parameter and percentiles is described. The software simulates from 100 to 10000 sets of k type II censored life tests, each comprising a sample size n with r failures. The software accepts values of k ranging from 2 to 25, test group sample sizes n from 2 to 200 and number of failures from 2 to n. 16 percentage points are printed for each of two pivotal functions w(r,n,k) and t(r,n,k,p). An upper percentage point of w(r,n,k) is used to test whether a group of k Weibull samples share a common shape parameter. An upper percentage point of t(r,n,k,p) may be used to test the equality of a specified Weibull percentage point, given that the groups have a common shape parameter. An example application will be given using actual test data.
