Abstract:

The presenter will review selected 'SPAIG-like' interactions, including industrial and government consulting, cooperative proposals, and other projects. Examples of such interactions that were helpful in bringing reality to classroom applications will be given. The review will identify some common traits of successful projects from the presenter's perspective as an educator, ASA executive and NSF program officer.
