Abstract:

The rise of high-speed, interactive computing systems has led to new opportunities in interactive information visualization. At Microsoft Research, cartographic data visualization has allowed mapping teams to strategize about the future of their products---and has enabled other groups to better understand how their system is being used. This talk discusses two systems for visualizing interactive data, and then discusses general principles for interactive data visualization.
