Abstract:

Adaptive designs in dose-finding are now making their way to therapeutic areas other then oncology. Dose-finding trials are good candidates for using adaptive designs because the major emphasis is on estimation, rather than hypothesis testing. We will review various dose finding problems where adaptive dose finding designs can be advantageous and present case studies.
