Abstract:

This is the second of two presentations on the use of Tablet PCs in statistics education. In this presentation, the main focus will be on learning environments where both students and the instructor have Tablet PCs. Student-to-student and instructor-to-student interaction is enhanced though the use of Tablet PCs. Tablet PC applications allow students to effectively complete homework assignments and allow for computer screen output to be shared and annotated interactively during class. In addition, Tablet PCs can serve as an alternative to using "clickers" in the classroom that are used for obtaining immediate feedback from students.
