Abstract:

In this paper we first compared two popular adaptive designs in terms of their statistical operational characteristics, and then we proposed a new adaptive design which is a hybrid of the two popular adaptive designs. We demonstrated that the proposed adaptive design didn't inflate the type I error rate and still provided good power compared with other options.
