Title: A Statistical Method for Selecting Differentially Expressed Genes
Author(s): Zhao Chen*+
Companies: Florida Gulf Coast University
Address: 10501 FGCU Blvd South, Fort Myers, FL, 33965,
Keywords: microarray ; differentially expressed genes
Abstract:

Typical Microarray data has tens of thousands of random variables and only several samples. When we graph a scatter plot of the ratio over intensity, it has pear shape, which means more variation at the lower intensity and less variation at the higher intensity. Due to this unusual property, this paper provides a statistical method for selecting differentially expressed genes
