Abstract:
|
Recruiting and hiring a consulting statistician can be a challenge. Positions often require a particular mix of technical and consulting skills, content area knowledge, and experience with applied problems. Panelists will discuss the process and criteria they typically use in identifying and evaluating candidates for a consulting statistician position. Each panelist works in a distinctive market segment of the organizations that employ consulting statisticians. We will focus on the particular problem of hiring experienced consultants (i.e., more than three years out of training).
