Address:
Keywords: pharmacogenomics ; clinical trials ; personalized medicine ; RX/DX dual development
Abstract:

The advance of pharmacogenomics makes it promising for genomics/proteomics tests to be used to support drug development and personalized medicine. For example, efficacy and safety in subgroups of patients may be improved by identifying the genomics profiles of individuals; clinical trials may be conducted for the dual purposes of developing drugs and diagnostic tools. However, many challenges still exist to fulfill such promises. In this luncheon, we will discuss technical and statistical issues with respect to design and analysis of clinical trials with pharmacogenomics.
