Applied Recurrent Events Data Analysis - Continuing Education - Course
ASA, Section on Physical and Engineering Sciences
Instructor(s): Wayne Nelson, Wayne Nelson Stat Consulting
Recurrent events are observed over time and include repairs of products, recurrences of disease episodes and hospitalizations under different treatments and pharmaceuticals, sales of products and services, sociology data on births, time on welfare, etc., and other applications. Analyses of such data are gaining wide use. This course presents simple versatile methods for analysis of such data, emphasizing data plots. While previous methods handle only counts of events, the new methods presented here apply to costs or other values associated with events. Participants need a basic background in statistics.
