Title: A Score Test for Linkage Analysis Allowing for Missing Parental Information
Author(s): Jing Han*+ and Yongzhao Shao
Companies: New York University and New York University
Address: 650 1st Avenue, 5th floor, New York, NY, 10016, United States
Keywords: family-based study ; linkage analysis ; score test ; missing parental information ; linkage disequilibrium
Abstract:

This study is on family-based genetic linkage analysis in the presence of missing parental genotype information. To utilize incomplete parental information for the family-based linkage study, a test based on the score test (Shao 2003) and the reconstruction-combination transmission disequilibrium test (Knapp 1999) is proposed. The power of the proposed test was studied by simulations, and the results show the test offers better statistical power than its competitors.
