Abstract:

Let us discuss advantages and limitations of intraclass correlation coefficient in evaluating the agreement between and within readers in clinical trials, especially rheumatoid arthritis and related trials. Typically, multiple readers participate in evaluating the radiographs at the baseline and end of the study. Hence, how well they "agree" with each other relative to the underlying variation between subjects is an important issue.
